O.M.G, It’s better than Orgasm!
Apologies for the cheesy attention seeking title. But I could not resist.
It’s difficult to control my excitement when I came across something that’s better than Orgasm, well I mean Nars Oragsm.
This is theBalm’s Hot Mama Blush and Eyeshadow I am talking about.
It’s absolutely sumptuous to begin with. I love the Benefit-inspired fun packaging. However this is not bulky at all, in fact much more compact than Benefit Blushers and it comes with a mirror on the lid too.
Secondly, its Paraben free and Frangrance free which is something that all blushers should be.
Coming to the color, yes I am one of those freaks who desperately go about hunting for product dupes and exclaim insanely when I come across one. This is exactly what I did when I had a first look at the blush. This is the closest dupe you will find to Nars Orgasm. So my insane dupe-freaks, our search is now over.
It’s a peachy-pink blush with gold shimmers running through it. It’s less pinky, more peachy and even more golden-ey.
The gold shimmers are not chunky, they are very fine but you will evidently see them shining through in every possible lighting. You cannot escape it!
I absolutely love the color of this blush though. This is one of those shades that you can dig into anytime of the day are likely to hit pan on. I love the fact how this brightens up my cheeks without adding too much color. It works very well as an eye shadow too. I use it for a light wash of color.
On close analysis, this is similar to Nars Orgasm, but also has a hint of Nars Super Orgasm and Benefit’s One Hot minute in it. Basically, more shimmer and tiny bit of a bronzed effect is something that comes along with this baby.
Coming to the texture, this beats Nars’s and MAC blushers anyday! It’s amazingly silky and smooth and gorgeously pigmented. One light sweep will leave your brush covered with the product completely. It won’t give you the chance to complain that lighter colored blushers don’t show up as well. This wins full points in staying power too.
Overall, I am gobsmacked with the shade, texture and quality of this product. It’s absolutely worth the price too. Take this with you on a holiday and you won’t regret.
