Elie Saab SS12

I fell in love with this fresh, feminine look from Elie Saab's SS12 runway show the second it appeared on the catwalk. The rosy cheeks and pearly-pink lips were the perfect accompaniment to his floaty dresses in sugared almond hues, adorned with petals.

To get the look, don't be afraid to go girly with your shades - the simple pony tail will keep you from looking too Polly Pocket (for those of you who remember those teeny, tiny princess dolls). Use Cutler's Fly Away Control Stick to tame any stray hairs once you've tied your hair back, to keep your 'do nice and sleek up top.

For make up, first up you need flawless skin, which means a great full coverage foundation - Hourglass is fab for that. If you have sensitive skin, try their Veil Fluid Make Up foundation. It's formulated to be ultra gentle on skin, but still provide the coverage needed to even out skin tone. As I have combination skin, I'm better suited to their new Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation, which absorbs oil as the day goes on to keep shine at bay (a little aside: you guys are loving it too - we've had some great feedback from fans!).

In Clinic terms, I fall into Group C - dark hair, green eyes, fair to medium skin (depending on just how little sun England provides me with), so for blush I go for cooler shades and always in a cream blush - they work with my combination skin rather than against it like with powders. Rouge Bunny Rouge's Blush Wand in Vermeer is perfect for this look. A sheer pink that gives a dewy finish and gives me delicate flushed cheeks. If you prefer a powder, RBR's Original Skin Blush in Gracilis is a good option. For darker skin tones, go for a bolder pink, like Orpheline or Florita. Edward Bess does excellent bold pink cream blushes with his Compact Rouge - Island Rose and Love Affair look gorgeous on darker skin tones too!

Whichever blush you go for, pat gently along and just under your cheekbones for some definition.

For lips, I'd recommend Hourglass' Extreme Sheen Lip Gloss in Fortune. It's a delicate pink with peach shimmer to give that subtle pearly finish.

For eyes, it's Hourglass' Film Noir Mascara, topped off with a coat of their Film Noir Lash Lacquer for extra definition and a perfect line (after a LOT of practice) of their Script Precision Liquid Liner, which thankfully has a super thin, sturdy tip like a felt tip pen that's easy to work with.

Et voila! I (and you, if you're trying this look out) are ready to step into spring a la Elie Saab!

The women were polished and feminine and the men were driven by their own individuality at Levi’s Fall 2012 Show with Rodney Cutler  backstage at New York Fashion Week. Rodney Cutler and Redken created a sleek refined look with a strong slide part for the women and took the direction of the men’s individual character, both inspired by Levi’s newest collection. Cutler’s vision was having the models express their own personalities on the runway.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

1.Layer Redken Rootful 06 Root Lifting Spray and Cutler Shine Tattoo and/or Cutler Straightening Cream throughout sections of the hair and blow out straight until completely dry

2.Flat iron the hair pin straight and make a strong slide part

3.Use Redken All Soft Supple Touch to the ends of the hair to fight the any dryness

4. The look was finished off with Cutler Definition Cream to add some extra hold and shine.

Levi's AW12

It was a 70s glamathon at Salvatore Ferragamo, where the colour blocking trend was going strong.

Glossy, flowing locks were the perfect accompaniment to the bold designs - flawless but not show-stealing. Work some Shine Tattoo spray from backstage must-have haircare brand Cutler into hair, which conditions and protects to give you fabulous hair.

REEM ACRA

Lead hairstylist Rutger created the perfectly imperfect up-do for Reem Acra's sophisticated, feminine collection. Rutger says the look is a "Reflection of the clothing and a woman with elegant flair. I wanted the hair to show that she is approachable using texture to demonstrate her playful side in an uncontrived way."

Steps:
Start with Cutler Protectant Treatment Spray and finger dry and brush out with mason pearson.

Blow out hair line to get smooth feel around the face and get all kinks out and blow dryer. Using Cutler Molding Putty finger scrape the hair back to the nape slightly left of center.

Tie loose with elastic, lightly tease the ponytail for separation and airiness. Smooth and using your thumb turn pony tail up towards the crown wrapping around to create a knot and leave ends out loosely for added whispyness.

Pull some loose bits out of the sides for a loose feel and finish with Redken 18 Quick Dry.

REBECCA TAYLOR

Dai Michishita for Cutler/Redken Salon was over at the Lincoln Centre for Rebecca Taylor's show. The look was 90s era, inspired by the old Kate Moss ads. Dai was going for a "just off the beach look," with hair slicked back at the crown.

Step by Step:

• Slick hair back to the crown, wetting and locking into place by using Redken Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray and Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray.  Clip to allow to set dry.
• Saturate the back of the hair with a mixture of Cutler Protectant Treatment Spray and Redken Natural Rescue Sea Salt Spray, which together will protect and add texture to the hair, and lightly blow dry.
• Tie back of hair into a bun and let set dry.
• Wait 30 minutes and take clips off and undo bun.
• Rake the back part of the hair with fingers to create a natural flowing beachy look.

Cutler were all over New York Fashion Week like white on rice. Not 1, not 2, but a total of 5 designers called on Rodney Cutler and his crew to take care of hair at their shows.

BETSEY JOHNSON

Lead hairstylist Peter Grey was over at Betsey Johnson with her burlesque-inspired collection. Peter says:

"Betsey’s theme this year was Tits and Ass so we thought about looking back and understanding what the true woman is all about and the original supermodel came to mind. Jerry Hall was a perfect example of this so we modernized this look."

Step by Step:

• Apply Redken Rootful 06 Root Lifting Spray all over at the root.
• Divide the hair in a diagonal part from front left to back right.
• Take hair under left part and sweep it around for a tight ponytail on the lower right nape of the neck.
• Gather hair on the right side of the part. Pin curl section by section and let set. Spray vigorously with Redken Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray on the top and inside each of the curls to lock into place.
• Once hair has dried, take the clips out and brush through to create dramatic waves.
• Spray Cutler Shine Tattoo to add glossy finish.

Daniella Kallmeyer lead by Franco Della Grazia for Cutler- The darker side of glam! Using a micro crimper which embosses the hair adding texture and a more defused look. We crimped from the mid shaft to the ends leaving the top straight and smooth. Products used: Cutler Volumizing Spray for texture and  Cutler Curling Cream on damp hair for more body, finish with Cutler Shine Tattoo.

Kaleen: Lead by Anthony Campbell for Cutler- Inspriation Western meets grunge/urban feel. We started by corn rowing 3 braids on the side of the head. Then pulling all the hair to the opposite side of the head we created one large loose texturized braid with an over all matte finish. To get the desired texture we used Cutler Volumizing Spray.

Nomia

Slightly clean, Japanese inspired pony tail leaving out the front sections of hair draped simple dramatic.

The look represents a woman in the woods, "streety" looking. Blow dry with Cutler Volumizing Spray, twist dry pieces of hair using Cutler Definition Cream and use Cutler Fly Away stick for shine on the top and sides of the head.
