I’ve been a fan of Korres skincare since I was introduced to it a few months ago.  Stand out products for me so far have been the Pomegranate Mask and the Body Butters which are fantastic products that have worked and continue to do so, for my combination/sensitive skin.

I enjoy discovering new products to integrate into my evening skincare regime and when I’m not having a lazy moment, I actually find solace in carefully prepping my skin for overnight cell renewal . I recently dug out another Korres product that I turn to every now and then when my skin needs a boost and I think this deserves a mention.

The Materia Herba Nourishing night cream aims to address the nutritional needs of tired, dull skin and is also deemed suitable for all skin types. Clinical studies have proved that it increases hydration by 56.6% after 2 hours and the moisturising effect is maintained for as long as 12 hours later.

It comes in a thick glass pot with a screw top lid which personally I have no problem with.  I know some people can be a bit finicky about products that come in pots, but it’s really not that hard to wash your hands prior to usage if indeed it’s such an issue for you.

This rich & soothing night cream contains organic Shea butter, Sunflower, Almond and Jojoba oils, Ginseng and Ginger extracts and combined they really work their magic on my skin. It doesn’t have a distinctive scent either which I think is a good thing. When I first started to use this, I braced myself expecting to be hit with an overpowering scent because of all the oils it contained but I was wasn’t at all.

When applying , you need to start off with a little at a time because when I described it as being rich, I wasn’t saying it for effect. I start off by dotting a small amount on my face, rubbing it in and then adding a little more and so on.  It takes a few seconds to sink in, so if you start off by applying too much, you end up overloading your face with product, which in turn becomes wasteful as you attempt to pat off the excess.

Whenever I’m suffering from random dry patches on my chin (an all too regular occurrence lately, which I need to look into) or around my nose area, this rids me of the flakies unfailingly. I wake up to find my skin has life restored back into it, is plumped up and the job is done. This isn’t a product that I use every evening as my skin doesn’t always require the extra richness  but it’s a moisturiser that I’m glad I discovered.

This is not currently stocked on the site and I really think it should be added to the existing line of Korres products that are readily available at Zuneta. Fingers crossed it makes an appearance soon, so you can experience it for yourselves!

Message from Zuneta: Full Korres Materia Herba line coming soon to Zuneta.com

I like the Korres brand, although I have not had much luck with their skincare but I have highly reactive skin, that looks very interesting though, I'll keep my eye out for it, thanks for the review
