The hype...the excitement...that fabulous TV ad (the elder woman – our hero)…oh the painful wait throughout November. Over. At 8.05 we were unable to click to purchase! Ohhhh the envy of those photo tweets from the changing rooms (we were tucked in tight when the 4am queues started mind you) Oh well. As a girl who used to spend her days styling chunky Lanvin necklaces, butter soft leather bags, decadent swathes of jewel bright cocktail dresses….nothing can truly beat a high-end piece of LANVIN, can it?*

Lanvin is the greatest luxe-lust labels of our time, extravagant silhouettes marred against classic cuts, jewel-hued fabrics, adorned with ribbons, flowers and jewels that sound chaotic but appear to work seamlessly. Inspired by the hectic Parisian glamour of the show (think taffeta and tulle, leopard print tights, strings of pearls…and that slightly disturbing green lipstick) what would your Lanvin inspired beauty look like?

Oh if I had been able to purchase that stunning yellow cocktail dress I would create a strong, directional look with;
Skin – Hourglass Veil Mineral primer and Hourglass Fluid Veil Foundation. Like silk on your skin, the combination of the VEIL primer and fluid makeup provides superb, long lasting coverage for a luminous complexion and flawless finish.
Eyes – Rouge Bunny Rouge Raven Glaze Lacquer Liner achieve a very expressive, wide eyelid line using the side of the brush; elongate the stroke up- and sideward to achieve a more cat-eye impression.
Mascara – Edward Bess Pure Impact Mascara Work the brush into lashes for lavishly long lashes that impact against the structured liner. The smudge-proof formula is key for dancing the night away.
For extra glamour – Mister Mascara full lashes kit (The kit comes with mini tweezers, adhesive and full instructions so application couldn't be easier)
Lips – Femme Rouge in Fever. A hot hot pink that compliments every skin tone and looks utterly stunning contrasted against yellow! Be confident and apply straight to lips minus a lip liner.
I would leave hair tousled and low-key, throw on my Alaia cut out heels, grab a jewelled Alexander McQueen clutch and be the belle of the Christmas ball. In my lanvin-inspired dreams!
*not at all seething with jealousy at those who managed the purchase the canary yellow dress. Nope, not at all.
